President Xi Leads CPC Meeting to Review Key Reports and Environmental Plans

Beijing, China — President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired a significant meeting on Monday with the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The gathering focused on reviewing crucial reports and discussing strategies for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.

The leaders examined a report from the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau after deliberating on work reports from various leading Party members’ groups. These groups included the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. The Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee also presented its work report.

A major highlight of the meeting was the comprehensive promotion of ecological conservation in the Yellow River Basin, a region known as the “Mother River” of China. The discussions underscored the importance of protecting this vital waterway while pursuing sustainable and high-quality development.
