China Ready to Work with Trump’s Administration at ‘New Starting Point’

China is eager to work with President Donald Trump’s new administration to boost relations between the two nations, marking a “new starting point” in China-U.S. ties.

Speaking at a press briefing in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun highlighted China’s commitment to collaborate with the U.S. “Under the strategic guidance of the presidents of the two countries, and following the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, we’re ready to maintain communication with the new U.S. administration,” Guo said.

This potential collaboration could have significant impacts globally, influencing everything from trade and economy to cultural exchanges that affect young people around the world.

When questioned about a possible invitation for President Trump to visit China, Guo expressed openness to strengthening connections and fostering understanding.

President Trump, inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, has reportedly shown interest in visiting China within his first 100 days in office.
