Martin Sorrell, founder and executive chairman of S4 Capital and a leading figure in the modern advertising industry, shared his insights at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025. In an interview with Guan Xin, Sorrell emphasized that traditional Western powers must recognize the growing influence of emerging economies.
“The rise of the Global South, the BRICS nations, and the Next Eleven is driving the world towards a more balanced and nuanced global order,” Sorrell stated. He highlighted that these emerging markets are not only contributing significantly to global growth but are also reshaping international relations.
Sorrell called for greater acknowledgment and collaboration from established economies. “A non-unipolar world demands that we embrace diversity and understand the unique strengths each region brings,” he added.
His comments shed light on the shifting dynamics of the global economy, urging young people in the Global South to seize the opportunities presented by this transformation.
