Ice Event Tickets Almost Sold Out for 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games

With less than three weeks to go, tickets for ice events at the ninth Asian Winter Games in Harbin, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, are nearly sold out, organizers announced on Wednesday.

Over 1,270 athletes from 34 Asian countries and regions are set to compete in 64 events across 11 disciplines covering six sports. The first of the 186 competitions will commence on February 3, with athletes from the host country making their debut on February 4.

A total of 64 gold medals are up for grabs, with the first champion to be crowned on February 8. Ice events will be held in Harbin, while snow events are scheduled in Yabuli.

To ensure a smooth and secure Games, organizers have conducted 17 test events across all venues, with 14 already completed. Acknowledging the challenges of outdoor snow events, over 30 weather experts have been enlisted in Yabuli to help staff respond to real-time conditions.
