China Media Group (CMG) has completed the final rehearsal for the highly anticipated 2025 Spring Festival Gala, setting the stage for a spectacular celebration on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The rehearsal showcased a dynamic array of performances, including captivating singing, energetic dancing, and traditional operas. Performers delivered outstanding acts, bringing joy and a festive spirit to the entire venue. The meticulous coordination ensured a smooth flow, enhancing the overall excitement of the gala.
Among the highlights were a heartfelt song celebrating the efforts toward Chinese modernization, performed by grassroots workers, and moving musical pieces accompanied by touching visual effects. Renowned artists, alongside young apprentices, brought traditional Chinese operas to life, bridging generations through art.
In addition to the main event in Beijing, four sub-venues across the country will join the celebration: Chongqing Municipality, Wuhan City in Hubei Province, Lhasa City in the Xizang Autonomous Region, and Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province. Each location will add its unique cultural flavor to the festivities.
The Spring Festival Gala, known as “Chunwan” in Chinese, has been a cherished tradition since its first live broadcast in 1983. It symbolizes unity and joy, marking a significant cultural moment for people celebrating the Lunar New Year.
This year’s gala is set to air on January 28, bringing together audiences to welcome the Lunar New Year with performances that honor tradition while embracing modernity.
