The 9th Asian Winter Games kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony on Friday night in Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. The event left foreign spectators in awe, as they experienced the vibrant culture and winter charm of the city.

"China always amazes us," said Kamel Abdalla, a photographer from the UAE National Olympic Committee News Team. "The opening ceremony was absolutely stunning. The performances, the lights, everything was perfect."

The highlight of the evening was the moment the cauldron was lit at the renowned Ice and Snow World, a massive theme park featuring elaborate ice sculptures and illuminated snow structures. The breathtaking spectacle inspired many international visitors to add the attraction to their must-visit list during the Games.

"I've heard so much about Ice and Snow World," said Paerolof Livf, a technical official with the International Ice Hockey Federation. "Seeing the cauldron lit there was incredible. Visiting it is now one of my top priorities while I'm here in Harbin."

The opening ceremony showcased a fusion of traditional Chinese culture and modern art, featuring dazzling performances, fireworks, and state-of-the-art technology. It set the tone for the Games, promising an unforgettable experience for athletes and spectators alike.

As the competitions commence, Harbin is ready to welcome the world with open arms, offering not just thrilling winter sports but also a unique cultural experience in China's winter wonderland.
