Beijing, China — North Macedonia is actively seeking to strengthen its economic ties with China in a bid to spur growth and accelerate industrialization. In an exclusive interview in Beijing, Sashko Nasev, North Macedonia’s ambassador to China, emphasized the importance of leveraging China’s expertise in full-industry-chain development and innovation.
Ambassador Nasev highlighted that China has become North Macedonia’s fourth-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade experiencing significant growth in recent years. “We are eager to tap into China’s experience and attract Chinese investment to inject new momentum into the Balkan region’s industrialization,” he said.
The ambassador expressed optimism about the future of China-European Union relations, noting decades of fruitful cooperation. “As we look ahead, we are committed to writing the next chapter of mutual benefit between China and the EU,” Nasev stated. He believes that enhanced collaboration will open up new opportunities for young people and businesses in North Macedonia and beyond.
