Chinese volleyball star Zhu Ting propelled Italian club Conegliano to their second consecutive CEV Women’s Champions League title, defeating Scandicci 3-0 in a thrilling final in Istanbul.
Conegliano, already boasting four trophies this season—the Super Cup, Club World Cup, Italian Cup, and Scudetto—continued their dominant run by claiming the opening set 25-16 with impressive teamwork and powerful spikes.
The second set saw Scandicci fighting back, but Conegliano maintained their composure, securing a 25-21 victory with a crucial block at the net. Zhu Ting’s exceptional performance was instrumental throughout the match.
In the third set, a decisive cross-court spike from Zhu gave Conegliano a 22-19 lead. She tallied 14 points and contributed defensively with significant blocks. The team sealed the match with a 25-19 win, marking a straight-sets victory.
Zhu Ting was honored as the Most Valuable Outside Hitter of the tournament, further highlighting her impact on Conegliano’s success. The victory marks the Panthers’ third Champions League title and crowns an extraordinary season with five major trophies, completing a remarkable Super Grand Slam.
