Ahead of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a heartwarming scene unfolded in Moscow. China Media Group (CMG) reporter Li Xueyao encountered a Russian family spanning three generations while preparing for the commemorative ceremony.
During their friendly exchange, the family shared stories of their ancestors who fought bravely in the war. Moved by their tales, Li was invited to join them in singing “Katyusha,” a beloved Russian folk song that became an anthem of hope and resilience during World War II.
The spontaneous performance captured the spirit of unity and mutual respect. As they sang together, the generational gap seemed to disappear, highlighting the shared history and enduring connections between people.
