China to Expand Imports of High quality Finnish Products Technologies

China Seeks Closer Tech and Green Trade Ties with Finland

China is set to boost imports of high-quality Finnish products and technologies, aiming to deepen cooperation in the digital economy and green transformation sectors. This initiative follows a recent meeting between China’s Vice Commerce Minister and Deputy China International Trade Representative Ling Ji and Finland’s Under-Secretary of State for International Trade Jarno Syrjälä.

The two officials discussed enhancing China-Finland and China-European Union economic and trade relations. Ling Ji emphasized China’s willingness to strengthen collaboration with Finland through mechanisms such as the China-Finland Joint Economic Committee Meeting and the China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Finland and the 50th anniversary of China-EU relations. In celebration of these milestones, both sides highlighted the importance of policy communication and practical cooperation. They expressed a commitment to jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system centered around the World Trade Organization.

The leaders agreed on the need to oppose unilateralism and protectionism, aiming to inject more certainty and positive energy into the global economy. Enhanced cooperation is expected to foster innovation and contribute to sustainable development in both nations.
