China Beat Chinese Taipei 5 3 at Afc Womens Futsal Asian Cup

China Triumphs Over Chinese Taipei 5-3 at AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup

In a thrilling encounter on Thursday, the host nation China claimed a 5-3 victory over Chinese Taipei, marking their second straight win at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

China wasted no time asserting their dominance. Just five minutes into the game, Tang Yalan delivered a sleek pass to Zhang Rui, who skillfully slotted the ball into the bottom corner, putting China ahead 1-0. As the first half neared its end, Su Jiahong’s precise cross from the left found Cao Jiayi, who tapped in China’s second goal, doubling the score to 2-0.

Chinese Taipei fought back fiercely in the second half. Chu Fang-yi unleashed a powerful long-range shot that found the back of the net, narrowing the deficit to 2-1. However, their momentum was short-lived when an unfortunate own goal by Chen Ya-chun restored China’s two-goal advantage at 3-1.

Seizing the opportunity, China’s goalkeeper Liu Danping made a daring move. Spotting her counterpart away from the goal, Liu launched a direct shot from her own area, sending the ball soaring into the unguarded net and extending the lead to 4-1.

The intensity escalated as both teams continued their rapid attacks. Despite Chinese Taipei’s relentless efforts, China maintained control, and the match concluded with a 5-3 victory for the hosts. This win places China in a strong position as they look ahead to their next match against Uzbekistan on Saturday.
