Ai Services and Flower Products Promote Local Tourism in Beijing

AI and Roses: Beijing’s High-Tech Flower Fest Blossoms

Beijing’s Mentougou District is putting a futuristic twist on floriculture at the International Symposium on Rose Research and Cultivation. The event is showcasing how AI services and innovative flower products are transforming local tourism.

Stealing the spotlight is Xiaomiaoyue, a digital rose-girl character who guides visitors through the vast rose exhibition. Fluent in multiple languages, she helps guests identify a myriad of rose species and deepens their botanical knowledge.

The tech marvel doesn’t stop there. Robots are serving up lattes and ice cream adorned with delicate rose motifs, adding a flavorful touch to the experience. Visitors can also don VR glasses to witness the mesmerizing process of roses blooming, bringing the lifecycle of these flowers to vivid life.

Beyond the tech, the six-day festival immerses attendees in a breathtaking sea of flora, featuring thousands of rose species from around the globe. Guests can purchase rose-themed merchandise, interact with friendly animals, and enjoy captivating folk performances.

This marks the first time the International Symposium on Rose Research and Cultivation is hosted in China. According to Sun Qixin, president of China Agricultural University, China now supplies 37 percent of the world’s cut roses, with an output value exceeding 300 billion yuan (approximately $41.7 billion).

“Our integration of technology and horticulture not only enhances the visitor experience but also drives the growth of the floral industry,” Sun remarked.

The fusion of AI and nature at the symposium highlights Beijing’s commitment to innovation and sustainable tourism, offering a glimpse into the future of botanical attractions.
