Chinese Emblem Marks 80 Years of Victory over Japanese Aggression

China Unveils Emblem to Celebrate 80th Anniversary of Victory Over Japanese Aggression

China has unveiled a new emblem to commemorate the 80th anniversary of its victory over Japanese aggression during World War II.

The emblem, revealed by China’s State Council Information Office on Tuesday, features a bold yellow “80” at its center. Surrounding it are powerful symbols: the Great Wall, olive branches, radiant light, and the years “1945-2025”.

The Great Wall stands as a testament to the unity and courage of the Chinese people, emphasizing the patriotic spirit that was instrumental in overcoming Japanese aggression.

Olive branches represent the peace that was hard-won after years of resistance, highlighting China’s dedication to safeguarding peace alongside nations worldwide.

The brilliance forming a “gate of victory” symbolizes the triumph of justice over evil, light over darkness, and progress over reactionary forces. It signifies China’s bright future as it pursues national rejuvenation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

The emblem will be featured in decorations for commemorative events, educational materials, and international activities marking the 80th anniversary.

China’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression spanned from 1931 to 1945, starting earlier and lasting longer than any other theater in World War II. Serving as the main battlefield in the East, China played a pivotal role in defeating Japanese militarism, contributing significantly to the global victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
