Over 200 young people from China and Mongolia gathered in Beijing on Tuesday for a significant youth exchange event aimed at strengthening cooperation and cultural ties between the two nations.
Yangug Sodbaatar, General Secretary of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP), and Xu Xiao, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, attended the event. Xu emphasized the crucial role of enhanced China-Mongolia dialogue and cooperation in promoting peace, stability, development, and prosperity in Asia and beyond.
“I hope the young generation from both countries can protect and inherit culture, lead cultural innovation and development, and push forward cultural exchange and cooperation,” Xu said.
Zhao Shitong, Assistant-Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, highlighted the strong bond between China and Mongolia. “We are good neighbors helping each other in times of crisis, good partners of mutual benefit and win-win results, and good friends of frequent communication,” Zhao noted.
“Enhanced communication between the young generation is an essential part of party-to-party exchanges for both sides,” Zhao added. “This exchange is a noble cause of great significance, benefiting not only the current but also future generations.”
Byaruuzana Purevdagva, President of the Social Democratic Youth Mongolia, echoed these sentiments. “China and Mongolia are good neighbors, and our young generations shoulder important tasks of promoting bilateral relationships,” Purevdagva said. “Our collaboration further promotes regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.”
During the event, the Communist Youth League of China and the Social Democratic Youth Mongolia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), marking a new chapter in youth cooperation between the two countries.
The activity, part of the Global Civilization Initiative International Youth Talk, was hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the Communist Youth League of China, and organized by the China International Youth Exchange Center.
