School Bus Suicide Attack Kills at Least Five in Pakistan

Suicide Bombing Targets School Bus in Pakistan: Five Killed, Dozens Injured

A devastating suicide bombing on a school bus in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Wednesday has left five people dead, including three students, and injured at least 40 others.

The attack occurred in the Khuzdar district’s Zero Point area when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive-laden vehicle near the bus carrying students and staff, according to Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti.

Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies swiftly responded, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities have sealed off the area and launched a full investigation into the incident.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, condemned the attack on “innocent school-going children.” The military vowed to track down and bring to justice those responsible, referring to them as the “planners, abettors, and executors” of the bombing.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, calling the bombing of a school bus “deeply inhumane.” He stated, “No efforts will be spared to thwart the nefarious intentions of terrorists to disrupt the peace of Balochistan.”

As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
