Musks X Down for Tens of Thousands of Us Users Tracker Shows

Elon Musk’s X Faces Major Outage, Tens of Thousands of U.S. Users Affected

Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a significant outage on Saturday, leaving tens of thousands of users across the United States unable to access the service.

According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, more than 25,000 users reported issues with X around 8:39 a.m. EDT (1239 GMT). The hashtag #TwitterDown quickly began trending as frustrated users turned to other platforms to voice their concerns.

“I can’t refresh my feed or see any new posts,” one user lamented. “Is anyone else having this problem?”

The disruptions appeared sporadic. Around 9:30 p.m. Beijing Time (1330 GMT), attempts to access x.com revealed that while personal posts were visible, timelines often failed to load, displaying the message: “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

Some accounts, including those belonging to media organizations, reported difficulties posting new content. However, services gradually returned to normal later in the day.

The cause of the outage remains unclear, and X has yet to issue an official statement addressing the incident.

This outage is the latest in a series of technical glitches since the platform’s rebranding from Twitter to X. Users worldwide have expressed frustration over these interruptions, calling for greater transparency and prompt resolutions.

As services stabilize, users are advised to monitor official channels for updates.
