China and the United States are taking big steps toward better economic relations! On Tuesday, China’s international trade representative and vice commerce minister, Li Chenggang, announced that both countries have agreed on a framework to put into action the agreements made by their leaders during talks in June and last month in Geneva.
After meeting in London for the first China-U.S. economic and trade consultation, Li said the teams had “professional, rational, in-depth, and candid” discussions over two days. He expressed hope that the progress will strengthen trust between the two nations and help grow their economic and trade ties in a steady and healthy way.
“We hope this meeting will inject positive energy into global economic growth,” Li said.
This agreement is a major move towards easing tensions and boosting cooperation between the two largest economies in the world. The new framework will tackle important issues and pave the way for future talks on trade and economic matters.
