At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russia spotlighted the concept of “energy justice” as a pivotal theme in global discussions. Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev emphasized the importance of fair access to energy resources amid the world’s evolving energy landscape.
“Energy justice means ensuring equitable access to energy for all nations,” Tsivilev stated. “It’s crucial for economic development and improving the quality of life worldwide.”
The minister highlighted how deepening cooperation between Russia and China is shaping a more balanced, multipolar energy future. “Our partnership with China goes beyond energy trade; it’s about collaborating to build a future where energy resources are accessible and sustainable for everyone,” he said.
Russia and China have been strengthening their energy ties through joint projects in oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. This collaboration aims to diversify global energy markets and reduce dependency on any single source or region.
