China Media Group (CMG) and the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in promoting horse riding and in broadcasting and reporting equestrian events.
The MoU was signed on Thursday in Beijing by Shen Haixiong, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of CMG, and Ingmar De Vos, President of the FEI and a member of the International Olympic Committee.
This landmark agreement is set to enhance the popularity of equestrian sports, making horse riding more accessible to audiences around the world through expanded media coverage and promotion.
Founded in Paris in 1921, the FEI is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and brings together 136 member organizations dedicated to equestrian sports. The Chinese Equestrian Association joined the FEI in 1982, reflecting China’s ongoing commitment to the development of horse riding as a sport.
