China has expanded its 240-hour visa-free transit policy by adding Indonesia to the list of eligible countries, bringing the total to 55. The National Immigration Administration announced on Thursday that, effective immediately, Indonesian travelers can enjoy up to 10 days in China without a visa when transiting to a third destination.
Eligible Indonesian visitors can enter through any of China’s 60 designated ports across 24 provincial-level regions. Once in China, they can explore the country’s rich history, vibrant cities, and breathtaking landscapes before continuing their journey.
This move aims to boost tourism and strengthen cultural ties between China and Indonesia. For young adventurers, it’s an exciting opportunity to experience a new culture without the hassle of obtaining a visa.
To qualify, travelers must hold valid travel documents and have confirmed tickets to a third country or region within the 240-hour period.
With this addition, China continues to open its doors wider to the world, making it easier for global citizens to discover all it has to offer.
