Chinese Premier Li Qiang Meets Kyrgyz Prime Minister in Tianjin to Boost Cooperation

Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev on Tuesday in Tianjin, northern China, to enhance their countries’ strategic partnership and cooperation in various fields.

Under the guidance of their heads of state, China and Kyrgyzstan have seen significant growth in their relationship in recent years. Premier Li expressed China’s readiness to work closely with Kyrgyzstan to enrich their comprehensive strategic partnership and build a closer China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future.

“China and Kyrgyzstan are neighbors with complementary industries,” Li said. “We are ready to align our development strategies, focus on key areas, and increase the scale and efficiency of our cooperation.”

Both leaders emphasized the importance of advancing connectivity projects like the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway and exploring new areas of collaboration. China is also willing to import more high-quality products from Kyrgyzstan and encourages Chinese enterprises to invest in the country.

Prime Minister Kasymaliev expressed appreciation for China’s achievements and reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to the one-China principle. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s willingness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China in trade, investment, finance, and connectivity.

The two sides also discussed strengthening multilateral cooperation within frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the China-Central Asia mechanism. They agreed to oppose unilateralism and protectionism while safeguarding free trade and the stability of global production and supply chains.
