China Media Group Launches TV Showcase in Moscow to Boost Cultural Ties

In a bid to strengthen cultural ties between China and Russia, China Media Group (CMG) has launched a special television event in Moscow featuring high-quality Chinese programs. The showcase, which includes more than ten curated shows, aims to deepen the friendship between the two nations through the power of media.

The launch ceremony featured video messages from Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of CMG, and Galina Kulikova, first deputy chairperson of the Russia-China Friendship Association and a recipient of China’s Friendship Medal.

Shen highlighted the strong bond between China and Russia, noting that under the leadership of both countries’ heads of state, bilateral relations have reached new heights. “This joint television showcase by CMG and Russian media is a concrete step in implementing the consensus reached by our presidents,” he said. “It strengthens people-to-people exchanges and solidifies the foundation of friendship between our peoples.”

Kulikova praised the high-quality Chinese programs, expressing hope that they would help Russian viewers understand China’s modernization journey and rich cultural heritage. “These programs will deepen mutual affection and understanding between our two peoples,” she said.

Other media professionals from both countries attended the event, underscoring the importance of cultural exchange in fostering international friendship.
