Barcola Helps Psg Win French Cup Ahead of Uefa Champions League Final

Barcola Shines as PSG Wins French Cup Ahead of Champions League Final

Bradley Barcola delivered a stellar performance as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) cruised to a 3-0 victory over Reims in the Coupe de France final on Saturday. The young winger scored twice and assisted another, propelling PSG to secure their record-extending 16th French Cup title.

Assisted twice by Désiré Doué, Barcola found the net in the 16th and 19th minutes, showcasing his clinical finishing. Just before halftime, he set up right-back Achraf Hakimi, who volleyed in a third goal, sealing the win for the Parisians.

With this victory, PSG completed a domestic treble, having already clinched a record 13th Ligue 1 title and the Trophée des Champions earlier this season. However, the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy still eludes the club backed by Qatari investors.

That could change next Saturday. Coach Luis Enrique’s squad is set to face Inter Milan in Munich for the Champions League final. A win would grant PSG their first European title and fulfill a long-held ambition. Enrique, who previously achieved a continental treble with Barcelona in 2015, is on the brink of repeating the feat.

“We’re focused and ready,” Barcola said after the match. “Winning the French Cup is fantastic, but our eyes are on the Champions League now.”

Reims, once a dominant force in French football during the 1950s, couldn’t match PSG’s pace and precision. The game felt like a training session for PSG, especially in the first half. Reims struggled to create significant chances, with PSG’s defense comfortably managing any threats.

In the second half, PSG eased off but maintained control. An effort from Ousmane Dembélé rattled the crossbar, but no additional goals were scored. The match concluded with PSG lifting the trophy, celebrating yet another domestic success.

As PSG heads to Munich, fans worldwide eagerly await the showdown. Will PSG finally conquer Europe and complete their trophy cabinet? The stage is set for an epic finale.
