CGTN Calls on Global Youth to Shape the Future for UN’s 80th Anniversary

Breaking News: CGTN has launched a global initiative inviting youth worldwide to share their vision for humanity’s future, in celebration of the United Nations’ upcoming 80th anniversary in 2025.

Named the “One Home: Shared Future” Visual Storytelling Initiative, the campaign encourages young people from all corners of the globe to express themselves through creative mediums such as short videos, photo series, digital posters, or any other artistic form that conveys our shared destiny.

“No matter where you’re from or what language you speak, your voice matters,” said a spokesperson for CGTN. “We believe that the youth hold the key to shaping a better future, and we want to amplify their perspectives on critical global issues.”

The initiative focuses on themes crucial to humanity’s progress, including #PeaceJustice, #ZeroPoverty, #QualityEducation, #SocialEquity, #IndustryInnovation, #LandProtection, #BlueOceans, and #ClimateAction.

How to Participate:

  • Deadline: August 15, 2025
  • Eligibility: Global creators (Individuals, Bloggers, Organizations) – multilingual entries welcomed!
  • Format: Original videos (up to 5 minutes) or photo series showcasing your creativity

Selected works will be featured across CGTN’s platforms and official social media accounts on Weibo, Douyin, YouTube, and X, offering participants global exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the historical commemorations of the UN’s 80th anniversary.
