Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with Lim Boon Heng, chairman of Singapore’s Temasek Holdings, in Beijing on Saturday. The meeting highlighted China’s ongoing economic recovery and its commitment to opening up to international investors.
He Lifeng, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized that China’s economy has maintained good recovery momentum since the beginning of the year. “China will open its doors wider to the outside world, and its business environment will get better and better,” he said.
He expressed optimism about the potential for deeper cooperation between China and Singapore, inviting Temasek and other international investors to tap into China’s vast market and development opportunities. “We welcome Temasek and other international investors to invest in China and share the huge market and development opportunities here,” He added.
Lim Boon Heng responded positively, stating that Temasek remains as optimistic as ever about China’s development prospects. “We will continue to deepen our work in the Chinese market,” he said.
