Taklimakan Rally Stage 6 Delivers Fierce Racing and Breathtaking Views
The Taklimakan Rally charged into its sixth and final stage on Tuesday, thrilling fans with an intense 288-kilometer route that traversed wetlands, Gobi, and desert terrain. The stage offered not just fierce competition but also showcased the stunning landscapes of the region.
In the motorcycle category, the Chongqing Hoto Factory Team continued to impress. Czech rider Martin Michek dominated the stage once again, clocking in at 2 hours, 54 minutes, and 54 seconds. Alongside his Lithuanian teammate, Arunas Gelazninkas, Michek firmly holds the lead in the group, demonstrating exceptional skill and teamwork.
The car division saw dynamic performances as well. Liu Yangui and navigator Chen Feng of the Shaanxi Yunxiang Club emerged as strong title contenders with consistent performances throughout the rally. The stage victory, however, went to Fan Gaoxiang and co-driver Fu Liguo from the Hebei Qian’an Jiujiang Auto and Motorcycle Sports Club, who completed the course in an impressive 4 hours, 6 minutes, and 30 seconds.
The rally continues on Wednesday with Stage 7, introducing a new 82-kilometer course in Yecheng County, Kashgar Prefecture. Participants will face a challenging mix of desert and Gobi terrain, promising more excitement and tests of endurance.
